Joel Mu born in Australia, studied art history and philosophy in Sydney and has several years of curatorial practice in cooperation with various institutions, including the Berlin-Artists-Program of the DAAD. He is currently working at Bard College Berlin with Dorothea von Hantelmann (as co-seminar leader) for the course: Curation: Histories/Theories/Practices. He writes for various art magazines and online portals e.g. Spike Art Magazine (Berlin), AQNB (London) and O Fluxo (Portugal). Mu has lived and worked in Berlin since 2014. Since June 2015 he curates the independent gallery M.I/mi1glissé, in which 30 exhibitions and performances with young international artists have been realized.
For the university course Curating in the Performing Arts he was granted a (part-)scholarship from the Allianz Kulturstiftung.
