Léna Szirmay-Kalos is a Berlin-based independent dramaturge, critic and curator from Hungary. She studied Cultural Theory and Business Administration at the Humboldt University of Berlin, History and Culture of Science and Technology at the Technical University of Berlin, Curating in the Performing Arts at Paris Lodron University in Salzburg and Curatorial Practice at the University of Bergen, Norway.
She is the artistic director of the Montag Modus interdisciplinary series and the co-founder of the MMpraxis curatorial platform. Between 2015 and 2018, she worked as a curator and dramaturge at the Hungarian cultural centre, the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin (CHB) where she was responsible for the performance program. Since 2019, she has been working as an independent dramaturge and makes events at the intersection of the visual and performing arts.
For the university course Curating in the Performing Arts he was granted a (part-)scholarship from the Allianz Kulturstiftung.
