Mareike Hage

Mareike Hage is an arts professional. Her career begun with tertiary education including a Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies and Law in Halle/Saale, a Licence in Applied Foreign Languages at the University Paris X Nanterre La Défense and a Master of Arts in Cultural Management at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar (including a semester at the University of Leeds). During this time, Mareike Hage worked for a range of arts organisations and festivals, including Deutsches Nationaltheater und Staatskapelle Weimar, Komische Oper Berlin, Plateforme de la jeune création franco-allemand in Lyon, Kurt-Weill-Fest Dessau and Kunstfest Weimar. In a voluntary capacity, she was engaged by Goethe-Institut Phnom Penh (Cambodia) as Project Assistant in 2011. In 2015, Mareike Hage began working as Executive Assistant to Karen Stone, the General Manager and Artistic Director of Theater Magdeburg. Her portfolio included involvement in the city’s candidature to become European Capital of Culture for the year 2025. In 2019, Mareike Hage began working as Executive Assistant to Hasko Weber, the General Manager and Artistic Director of Deutsches Nationaltheater und Staatskapelle Weimar. This role included carrying out the project management for the large-scale arts project »HORIZONTE« to mark the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
