Mona Schwitzer is a dramaturge, curator and aspiring pedagogue. She is primarily interested in narrative structures and language, as well as in the connection of educational processes and cultural and artistic projects. Mona Schwitzer studied comparative literature, theatre and film studies in Innsbruck, Vienna and Paris and completed the university course „Curating in the performing arts“ in Salzburg and Munich. As a dramaturge, she has worked primarily in the theatres, including the Schauspielhaus Graz and the Volkstheater in Vienna. Together with Philipp Krüger and Petra Hazabent, she initiated as a curator the interdisciplinary and international project Shifting Baselines at the interface of science and art, which took place in 2018 and 2019 at the Maribor Theatre Festival in Slovenia. Since 2020 she has been a member of the Golden Pixel Cooperative, a Viennese association for moving images, art and media whose work is located between exhibition space and cinema.
