Sebastian Linz (*1980) studied theatre science, German literature and linguistics at the LMU Munich. He was working as assistant director at the ‚Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel’ in Munich (2008-2011). Since 2011 he works freelance and interdisciplinary in the fields of directing, dramatury, curation, production and cultural communication, i.e. for the festivals ‚SPIELART’, ‚DANCE’, ‚Münchner Biennale’, ‚Salzburger Festspiele’ and the free theatre ‚PATHOS München’. He works as a lecturer for the master-course dramaturgy at the ‚Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding’. With the free theatre group ausbau.sechs, which he co-founded, he developes theatre projects between performance and installation since 2011, including HOW TO DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY (2014, PATHOS München / RODEO), DE/FENCE (2016, Muffathalle / RODEO) and DIE GLÜCKLICHEN (2017, Münchner Kammerspiele). Guest performances domestically and abroad. In 2015 he finished the advanced training Theater- und Musikmanagement at the LMU Munich. For the seminar Kuratieren in den szenischen Künsten he obtaines a (part-)scholarship by the culture department of Munich. Since 2018 he has been the artistic director of ARGEkultur in Salzburg.
