The Kunststiftung NRW funds two scholarships for applicants who are resident in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia for the university course 2019/20. The scholarship covers the acceptance of the participation fee for the university course (€ 5500, -). If the application is suitable, partial scholarships amounting to half the participation fee (€ 2750, -) are also possible. The application for the two scholarships must be made informally with a note in the letter of motivation.
The Cultural Department of the City of Munich participates in the scholarship program as part of the university course curating in the scenic arts. As in the previous year, a full scholarship (total course fee of € 5,500) and two partial scholarships (each € 2,750) will also be funded in 2019/20. Again, the application is informal in the note.
The full or partial scholarship sponsored by the Thaddaeus Ropac gallery will be awarded to a participant in the university course who, in their previous professional practice or in their future curatorial planning, specifically aims to transmedially expand the current curatorial canon, especially in the contact zone between the educational and academic fields engaged in scenic arts. On a one-sided DIN A4 page, the conceptual access to transmedial curating has to be justified.
The City of Vienna enables researchers living in Vienna to take part in a research project in the field of scenic curating with an explicit reference to Vienna. (More info on direct contact with the university course Scenic Curating).
The Paris Lodron University has granted five grants of € 1500 for the 2019/20 university course. Applicants who have earned a gross income of less than € 24,000 in 2018 can apply informally with a note in the letter of motivation.
The application committee decides on the award of all scholarships.
