Valerie Göhring

Valerie Göhring (* 1992) studied dramatics and urbanism at Leipzig University. During this period of time, she did some internships at Thalia Theater Hamburg, Centraltheater Leipzig and Schauspiel Hannover. She is co-founder of the Fuchsbau Festival for art, music and discourse in Hanover. In 2014, she joined the Forum Of Young European Critics at Theaterbiennale Wiesbaden. In 2015, she was a Theatertreffen-Blog scholarship holder. In the 2015/16 season, she worked as an assistant dramaturg at Schauspiel Frankfurt. In addition to that, she participated in the university course “Curation in the Performing Arts” at the Universities of Munich and Salzburg. In the 2017/18 season, she worked as a dramaturg for the Berliner Ensemble (founded by Bert Brecht), being responsible for the “Salon für Text und Musik” (“Music and Literature Lounge”) in cooperation with DAS WETTER, a Berlin magazine for music and literature, the architectural series BERLIN 3000 and the day of remembrance “Connecting the Dots” – to keep alive the memory of the victims of National Socialism – curated by author Mirna Funk, among other things. As a dramaturg, Valerie Göhring is going to be employed with the Munich Kammerspiele from the 2018/19 season.
